Joe Root: I’m the right man to lead England’s Test cricket team

Joe Root has insisted that he remains the perfect man to take England’s cricket team ahead.
During the Ashes, Test captain Root believed 325 runs in 32.5, the third most runs from an England player and also the sixth most overall.
He also took three wickets in 40.66 and created seven catches, with just wicket-keeper Jonny Bairstow producing more for its hosts.
However his batting has endured and Australia retained the Ashes with a 2-2 draw, but Root insists he is the correct person to lead the side in future.
He explained:”I need to be 100 percent. I love it.
“I am very honoured to captain England and I want to take this team forward.
“I truly do think I’m the perfect man to do it. Hopefully I can get the financing and I will prove everyone .”
The Yorkshire batsman admitted the famous strategy to turn into their white-ball match of England, culminating in their World Cup win that was spectacular this summer, needed to be replicated from cricket.
He continued:”Winning the Ashes rear is a huge attention for English cricket, it needs to be now.
“Winning down in Australia are a fantastic accomplishment and for me as Test captain I’d like to actually push that.
“We will need to be as ready as we can be and that should begin today. I’m really excited about beginning this winter and it’ll be a very exciting journey.”
One-day along with T20 vice-captain Jos Buttler stated the team already had the hallmarks of Root captaincy.
“Joe’s place his stamp on the team ! He’s been for a little while. Obviously we want more consistent effects but we have got the makings of a very good team.”
Bowler Stuart Broad added:”You only have to appear at Joe’s captaincy list, and it’s more effective than many England captains. The players are well aware we could be more consistent, and we’ll deliver this.”
