Kevin Chappell shoots 59 at The Greenbrier

Kevin Chappell Took an 11-under 59 on Friday in the second round of A Military Tribute to Capture only the sub-60 Around that was 11th .

In doing so, the American equalled that his compatriot Mark Calcavecchia’s set of eight consecutive birdies in a round on the PGA Tour, set at the 2009 Canadian Open.
Chappell – playing his first championship since returning after 10 months out after surgery that was back – overlooked a 10-foot birdie putt to collapse a stroke short of Jim Furyk’s Tour album.
The 33-year-old started with a par then birdied the next eight holes before incorporating additional birdies at holes 1, 5 and 7, to make the turn in 28 and is currently 10 under for the tournament, having opened with a 71.
Furyk set the album at the final round of their Travelers Championship with a 58 2016.
It was the very first round about the PGA Tour because Brandt Snedeker’s 59 at the 2018 Wyndham Championship.
Stuart Appleby shot 59 to win by a stroke at its season.
